Overview:
The
students selected for the International Studies and Travel Program will develop
a better understanding of the history, art, region, people, places and events
of the cities in United Kingdom and France they will visit. They will learn how Deaf culture and
experience influence people’s perceptions of places and regions as well as make
connections between visual images in art and every important human experience.
On the trip, the students will be required to keep a journal and use
literature, art and history as a springboard for critical writing. Upon their
return, the students will be asked to create individual portfolios about the
trip and their experiences and to provide a multi-media presentation at a high
school assembly about their travel experiences.
